Does the HOBOT R3 really work?

Yes!

The best use of a robot window cleaner is regular maintenance to prevent the build-up of dust and dirt. Ideally, you should be using your R3 every 3 months. To help remind you, the HOBOT APP will alert you automatically every 3 months to clean your windows.

The process used for best results is dry clean to remove dust, change the pads and complete a wet clean to thoroughly wash and clean your windows.

Unlike other robot window cleaners, the HOBOT R3 can deal with salt spray and dirt road dust that often creates friction for other robot window cleaners.

How does the HOBOT R3 work?

Just turn it on, place it on the glass, and press play!

The HOBOT R3 will automatically work out the size of your window frame and start cleaning.

HOBOT’s inter-rotational movement imitates scrubbing the glass by hand when cleaning. Based on Newton’s third law of motion and coefficient of friction, when one cleaning wheel spins, another can stay in position to leverage the device and therefore the HOBOT R3 will move steadily in the opposite direction, cleaning the window automatically.

 You also have the option of controlling your HOBOT R3 via the app or remote.

Cheap copies either don’t have spray systems or sellers tell you to spray solution onto the glass, which defeats the whole idea of being robotic!

The new HOBOT R3 features a twin spray jet system ensuring there is more solution to remove dust and grime.

The HOBOT R3 mimics human scrubbing action whilst applying 5kg of suction force with a powerful 90W Japanese Nidec brushless motor.

The tank may look small, but its ultrasonic spraying technology only uses 1ml of the cleaning solution to cover 1sqm, reducing the cost of cleaning solution and ensuring you fill the tank less.

What happens if the power fails?

How long does it take to clean a window?

A window that is approx. 2sqm will take around 8 minutes. If you have the app on it will alert you when it has finished cleaning so there is no need to wait for it to finish.

Just like vacuuming, glass should be maintained on a regular basis. Untreated glass is porous and prolonged periods of not cleaning can mean mineral deposits (from water, rain, etc), dirt combined with the harsh sun can embed into the glass, making it difficult to clean for a human or a robot.

In circumstances like this, you may need to scrub windows first to remove mineral build-up and use the HOBOT R3 for regular maintenance or polishing after scrubbing
