A new weapon against pet and human hair!
Designed for carpet and hard floors
To be honest, we were not expecting much with the LEGEE D7, after all the name suggests it is just a variation of the LEGEE 7, but nothing can be further from the truth. This is a totally different robot, so don’t let the shape and name fool you.
When we received the LEGEE D7 sample a couple of months ago, we were really impressed by the look of the unit. It is the most aesthetically pleasing robot we have ever seen. Retaining the same D shape, one could be fooled into believing that the LEGEE D7 is the same as the LEGEE 7, but nothing could be further from the truth.
If you are a pet owner or have daughters, you will only know too well the frustration of hair in drains and wrapped around the brush roller of your robot vacuum cleaner. It is a frustrating job to clear and until now there seemed to be no solution to the problem.
The new patented Tangless vacuum suction design from HOBOT is brilliant! is a clever innovation that not only helps reduce hair getting tangled, it ensures your suction force is not disrupted by a brush roller full of hair. The Tangless suction port removes 80% of the hair before it reaches the brush roller.
Not only that, the sperate port means that the main brush removes more dust and dirt .
Is this not the most stylish robot mop/vacuum you have ever seen? Clean white with a styled lid and rose gold inlay.
Most robots detract from the home, the HOBOT LEGEE D7 adds a touch of class.
Can it Vacuum Carpet and Mop hard floors?
The LEGEE D7 is capable of vacuuming hard floors and carpet, a solution for the whole home.
Unlike many robot vacuums on the market, the LEGEE D7 Features a variable speed brush roller. So when using deep cleaning mode it rotates faster along with the vaccuum working at maximum suction.
We didn’t expect much change due to the D7 having the same 2700PA as the LEGEE 7, but we have been blown away by the suction performance of the new LEGEE D7. We have sucked up dog hair, dog food, rice and pistachios, haven’t tried kitty litter, but suspect it will suck it up just as well.
The separate port for hair really helps reduce debris before dust and dirt gets to the brush roller. The brush roller is super thick unlike other robot vacuums and seems to really pick up dust and dirt really well, especially in deep cleaning mode. This wonderful feature increases the speed of the brush roller and changes the vacuum power to maximum, removing dust and dirt before your LEGEE D7 sprays solution and mops. The result, clean floors.
Check out the dust box, literally crammed full, even after using another product prior.
The LEGEE D7 has different mopping system to the LEGEE 7 due to the unit being a hybrid. The mopping pad lowers to the ground with 600grams of force to mimic the pushing action used when mopping. I really love the intelligent cleaning pattern it uses and it has exceptional mopping performance due to the thick brush roller and two vacuum ports removing everything in their path.
Unlike the LEGEE 7, the LEGEE D7 will climb up to 20mm, which means if you have expansion gaps, tiles or rugs that are slightly raised in a room, it will have no issues in climbing it.
Auto Recognition Mopping (ARM)
The LEGEE D7 will automatically recognize carpet and raise the mopping pad by 6mm. A clever feature that is missing on most robot mops we have seen. It also automatically raises itself when the unit docks, again just a smart feature that helps ensure your mopping pad gets ventilation.
Easy to use APP
The APP is mildly faster than the LEGEE 7 and has a host of cleaning features such as:
- Standard Mode- a general cleaning mode when you are not too sure
- Strong Mode- when you need maximum vacuum suction
- Eco Mode- when you need a lower setting and quieter operation, great for when babies are sleeping
- Deep cleaning mode- high speed brush rolling, max vacuum setting and mopping for real cleaning performance
- Dry Mode- No mop, just vacuuming
- Stain Mode- divides areas into a 1.5m x 1.5m area and gives it a thorough double mopping pass
- Tangless Mode- Dogs/Cats shedding? This mode is perfect for grabbing all that pet hair
Our favorite mode is Deep Cleaning Mode, having pets this is a great cleaning mode for hard floors and tiles.
The app is intuitive and very easy to program
The HOBOT LEGEE D7 uses SLAM technology, which enables it to constantly update its map and location using a LIDAR (a laser). So the LEGEE D7 it will instantly map your home and changes that may happen, like furniture that might be moved.
What about corners?
Do you notice the D shape?
D shape robots get into the corners better. The sweeping brush angle has also been changed on the D7 and lengthened to ensure it gets into the corners better.
How long is the battery life?
The LEGEE D7 has a 2hr run time and 2hr recharge time.
Using a smart charging system the LEGEE D7 will go back and recharge to increase battery life. It will go to work again when it has enough battery to complete its job, not requiring a full recharge, saving time.
I’ve had a robot that bashes into my furniture, is this the same?
No! Older robots used a camera based system and bumper to identify objects in the room. The HOBOT LEGEE D7 uses the latest SLAM technology. No, this doesn’t mean it will SLAM into things. It means Simultaneous Localization and Mapping.
In other words, your HOBOT LEGEE D7 uses a laser to constantly map, so if the environment changes it will identfiy the change, like a new piece of furniture or a door being closed.
It wil cauatuiously move aound objects and gently use a bump sesnor for objects that sit below 9cm.
Different rooms have different needs
Like the the entrance or kitchen versus the guest bedroom.
The HOBOT LEGEE D7 allows you to easily choose what cleaning style you want for a specific room or area.
For example, your kitchen might be deep cleaning mode and the guest bedrrom might be power suction mode or you might create your own custom mode.

Can it work to a schedule?
Yes, within seconds you can easily program you LEGEE D7 to clean your entire home or specific areas. Just choose the day, time and cleaning style.
How often will I need to empty the dust bin and fill the water tank?
This will depend on how often you are cleaning. We find in a 4 person household with 2 pets that you are emptying the dustbin every 2-3 days when cleanig different areas daily.
The water tank we are filling 1-2 times per week, each clean we use the moppinng fucntion too.
The pad we wash once per week in the washing machine.
What accessories might I need with my LEGEE D7?
For convenience we recommend an extra set of mopping pads and you will need 1 bottle of the HOBOT LEGEE solution.
The solution is a 1:50 ratio and can be used in hardfloors and tiles, so 5ml per 250ml of water.
Is the HOBOT LEGEE 7 safe for engineered hardfloors?
Yes, unlike drip system mops, the LEGEE D7 electronically dispereses enough water to mop, but does not saturate the floor. You have 7 different modes plus you can customise your own cleaning mode adjusting suction power, mopping, spraying to your liking.

You can aslo rapidly map by allowing the LEGEE D7 to map via the skirtings.
You LEGEE D7 will tell you want it needs. If you don’t like the voice change it to be yours, your children or perhaps a cartoon character. Or if you find it annoying, turn off voice, the choice is yours.
